Claxton’s are onto something when it comes to maturing grains in octave casks, a stroke of genius that may even create a new category of 'super-grain'. Luscious and plush, the sweet sherry finds a perfect partner here. Creme caramel ,sautéed banana, iced coffee and crisp American oak unravel in a medium to full-bodied delivery. Not quite as breathtaking as Claxton's Warehouse No.1 Cameronbridge (of similar age), however extremely good and a significant step up from 'conventionally' matured Invergordons. 71 bottles only from a Pedro Ximenez sherry octave. 49.4% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.
