1989 Adelphi Mortlach 33 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

In honor of their 30th birthday, Adelphi have dug deep for some older bottlings. It's a slightly different release being decanted from a refill bourbon hogshead instead of a sherry cask after over three decades of maturation. The result is described as a bit more fruit forward than the typical meaty Mortlach. 217 bottles are on offer. 48% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.

Notes from the bottlers... Ripe honeydew melon, candied grapefruit, peach shnapps, cardamom, cocoa powder, and orange blossom with a distinct and stunning minerality throughout. Complex, fruit-driven and elegant.
