ABV: 45%
A collector's bottling, made from a blend of twelve barrels of wheated whiskey from the mythical Stitzel-Weller distillery, from the same wheated mashbill that Pappy Van Winkle developed for Old Fitz at Stitzel-Weller. Aged for twenty years - a remarkable degree of maturity for any American whiskey, three thousand 375ml bottles were produced. We have one only from a private collection.

The cube shaped decanters are decorated with a gold and platinum key graphic, which hearkens back to the Larceny logo and commemorates Fitzgerald’s role as the treasury agent who held the keys to the warehouse. The bottles have an ornate satin finish metal closure with a cork, and a strip stamp on the neck and the face label both prominently feature the 20 Year old age statement. In addition, each bottle comes packed inside a handmade wooden box with die-cut keyholes and hinged doors that close with magnets.

Other reviews... Look for a very dark, ruddy hue and complex, sweet aroma that suggests dried figs and vanilla bean. It's drying on the palate, with caramel chased by dusty cocoa and clove, finishing long and spiced, with hints of red fruit and figs. Limited availability, and a collector's item. 94 points - wineenthusiast.com
