Hazelwood Janet Sheed Roberts 110th Birthday Edition Blended Scotch Whisky (700ml)

A very rare and special bottling produced by William Grant & Sons to celebrate the 110th birthday of Janet Sheed Roberts, the grand daughter of company founder William. The 1600 bottles were originally given only to staff and friends of the company and a few have since made their way into the wider whisky world.

A previous edition released in 2001 to commemorate Janet Sheed Roberts' 100th birthday reportedly sold for up to A$1000 per bottle on the secondary market. No need to emphasise the collector value of this rarity.

Born during the last year of the reign of Queen Victoria, Janet is the matriarch of the Grant family which still owns and runs William Grant & Sons Ltd, one of the last remaining independent distillers in Scotland and best known as the producers of Glenfiddich, the world’s leading single malt whisky. Janet Roberts still lives within a few miles of Glenfiddich Distillery, situated in the whisky-producing heartland of Speyside, and this remarkable and indomitable lady continues to exemplify the virtues of independence and cherished heritage which are so dear to her whole family.
