Glenallachie 11 Year Old Port Wood Finish Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Last year's Port Wood Finish was a beauty, demonstrating Billy Walker's ability to manage various barrel types. Regular monitoring ensured a fantastic balance between wood, wine and spirit. Expect much the same here. Like the rest of the range, this comes non chill filtered for maximum flavour.

Notes from Glenallachie... Nose: Starts of quite rich, with espresso, cacao nibs, raspberry parfait, blackberry, and plum jam. Some Turkish Delight, floral honey, and faint perfume too. Very inviting. Palate: Woody spices hit first, then there’s some liquorice, blackcurrant cordial, hazelnut praline, Morello cherry a touch of dark chocolate, and dusty logs. Finish: Old potpourri is balanced by dried fruit mix and oak shavings. 48% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.
