2010 Marchand & Burch Gevrey-Chambertin

Semi translucent dark red colour with a light brick red hue. Pretty aromas of violets are followed by dark cherries and strawberry with underlying gamey characters, cedar and spice. Light in body weight but with a touch more fruit and depth than the Vosne Romanee the palate features supplely textured flavours of dark cherries and strawberries followed by subtle violet infusions and spicy cedar. Very fine grained perfectly integrated tannins. Medium to long aftertaste of dark cherries, strawberries, some gamey characters and spicy cedar.
