2009 Kaesler Old Vine Shiraz

Maturation took place in French oak for a period of 18 months. Opaque black purple colour with dark purple red hue. Nosing exhibits ripe black cherry and dark plum top notes followed by liquorice, subtle toasty cedar and spice showing very good intensity. Opulent and rich the palate is filled with succulent ripe black cherry, liquorice and dark plum flavours with some underlying toastiness and spice on the back palate. Velvet smooth tannins. Excellent power with long aftertaste of liquorice, ripe black cherry, toasty oak and spice.

Drink over the next 5-6 years.
