1995 Duncan Taylor Dimensions Single Cask Clynelish 19 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

A very reasonably priced Clynelish 19 year old, drawn from a single cask at full strength. This was distilled in 1995 and bottled in 2014.

Tasting note: [Cask 4676 tasted]. Deep amber gold. A whiff of pepper warmth to an otherwise typical Clynelish bouquet: floral and honeyed with notes of stewed pears, baked apple and developing beeswax. At natural strength, firmer and less opulent than the nose suggests. The gentle bittersweetness is purged with the addition of water which also creams up the texture and expands the fruity-malty notes found on the nose.
