Following where 'The Broadside' left off is West Winds latest endeavor 'Captain's Cut'; a hefty 63% ABV Gin behemoth which sees the addition of native sage and thyme botanicals. This is a second run of this bottling, which yielded under 300 bottles!

"Aiming to take charge with it's superior alcoholic strength 'Captains Cut' shows an adventurous side, resulting in pink grapefruit flesh and resinous hoppy notes on the nose. The peppery palate is full to the brim with woody herbaceous notes of native sage and thyme and shows undercurrents of cut violet and soft pine needles" Tasting note: Crystal clear with thick legs. Unusual opening scents of fresh linen and paraffin; opens up in a significant way after aeration with intense lemon meringue, white pepper and grapefruit-like aromas. Later inspections suggest sweet oregano and fresh potpourri. Creamy entry preludes a full throttle, ripe citrus and pepper attack. Finishes tongue tingling, warm with delicate piney / woody / herb and pepper accented notes. An immense gin experience. 63% Alc./Vol.
