Sweetdram Whisky Amaro (700ml)

An Amaro made with a blend of Scotch single malt and single grain, infused with nine botanicals: allspice, hibiscus, coriander, lovage, kola, quassia, rhubarb, lemon and lingonberry. The whisky base is a blend of Ardmore seven year old, North British single grain and Invergordon 12 year old. The whiskies were blended in-house, then infused with botanicals and lightly sweetened with urban honey from rooftop hives in Edinburgh. It’s a cross-genre take, bringing together two seemingly incompatible categories that works a treat.

Tasting note: Pale ruby red. Dry, rooty, raw beetroot-like aromas give way to bittersweet, warming notes suggesting clove, cola, smokey cardamom, rhubarb, all-spice and bitter peel. The aroma-range follows in a full-bodied, highly textural Amaro with a medley of turmeric, saffron, quinine and lemon peel-like notes. The finish is earthy, spicy, bittersweet and long. Try it over ice or topped with soda. 40% Alc./Vol.
