Generally categorised as a fortified wine (aka 'mistelle' or 'vin de liqueur' in France), made from a blend of lightly-fermented grape must and Cognac eau-de-vie. The blanc styles are made from the same grapes as dry white Bordeaux. Both red, white and rose versions are typically drunk chilled as an aperitif, a digestif or included as an ingredient in cocktails.

Tasting note: Pale gold colour with a pale straw hue. Attractive aromas include honey, hazelnut and very ripe stone fruit notes. Soft, smooth entry repeats the aromas with moderate honey, stone fruit and spice flavours. Gently warming. Clean, persistent aftertaste of apricot and almond. Straightforward, but maintains a pleasantly refreshing fruit / acid balance. 18% Alc./Vol
