Brilliant water like colour with a faint greenish tinge around the outskirts. The very floral nose has plenty of intensity to it with aromas of pears and apples gently infused with a combination of musk and dried honey followed by some light quince notes. Light and ultra pure yet texturally supple, the palate is caressed with pear, red apple, honeysuckle and delicate quince flavours. A touch of musk makes an appearance on the dry finish which has a citrus freshness to it. Excellent depth, concluding long and delicious.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
Alc. 12.5%

Other Reviews…..
I took this wine up to the house after my daily tasting to make sure I hadn't lost my senses. (I hadn't.) A storm-induced crop loss of 60% saw the grapes hand-picked from two Adelaide Hills sites, chilled overnight, whole-bunch pressed and flash-oxygenated to eliminate anthocyanin colour contribution, then cool-fermented in stainless steel, racked off lees asap to prevent 'plumping up'. An ever so fine distillation of nashi pear, a prodigiously long palate and crunchy acidity. Three gold medals and a trophy pre end-'19. Drink by 2025.
