2018 Maxwell Ellen Street Shiraz

Matured for 18 months in mainly new and old French oak with some American oak also included for added complexity. Dense inky black colour with a deep dark red black hue. Heady ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark chocolate aromas engulf the nostrils with a good dose of vanillin oak, mocha and spice also present. Rich and layered with opulence the full bodied palate is stacked with plush blackberry, dark plum, liquorice and dark chocolate flavours which overlay toasty vanillin oak and spice. Velvet smooth tannins with a long, luxurious aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
