- Closure: Stelvin
Aged in third use French oak barrels. Very deep dark red black colour with a bright dark red hue. Ripe dark cherry, plum and subtle liquorice aromas mix with fresh herbs, light scorched earth and spice. Amply fruited, juicy and fresh the palate is decorated with blackberry, ripe cherry and liquorice fruit. Undertones of light earth and subtle dried herbs are also apparent. Vibrant acidity, polished tannins and a medium length finish.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
Open-fermented and matured in largely used French oak. Barbera can be dull and boring, but not this wine, which paints the mouth with juicy red fruits that are complete in themselves. A wine to baste in the morning sun with. Drink by 2027.
