The fruit for Stonier Pinot Noir is derived from a selection of long term vineyard suppliers scattered across the Mornington Peninsula, but with a focus towards the region’s cooler south near the small town of Merricks. Approximately 3% of the fruit was fermented as whole bunches with a 10 month maturation process taking place in French oak (10% new) and a portion of it in stainless steel tanks (20%) to preserve the vibrant fruit characters of the vintage.

A delicious, silky textured Pinot that delivers great value.

Semi translucent bright dark red core with a light crimson hue. Expressive ripe cherry and strawberry scents laced with hints of violet and anise evolve from the glass. Gamey forest floor and spicy cedar notes adding complexity. Delicious ripe dark cherry and strawberry flavours have a very supple feel with forest floor, game, lightly toasted cedar and spice elements ensuing. Silky smooth tannins finishing with a lick of fresh acidity and a long savoury aftertaste of spicy dark cherries, strawberries, traces of anise, forest floor and spicy cedar.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
