Brilliant pale straw colour with a distinctive tinge of green around the outskirts and a watery hue. Aromas of citrus, light white peach and nectarine subtlety infused with gun flint characters are followed by delicate dried honey, nougat and faint smoky cedar notes. Very refined, fresh and elegant the medium bodied palate is decorated with white peach and nectarine fruits that have an understated richness. Subtle elements of gun flint, dried honey, lightly toasted biscuity oak, traces of cashew and spicy nougat underpin the fruit. Superb length and drive with a vibrant finish and blissfully long aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 13.5%

Other Reviews….
Clones 76, 277, P58, Mendoza, I10V1; the first two are the Bernard/Dijon clones, which are new additions to the vineyard. Hand-picked, destemmed direct to the press, specific yeast selection, fermented and matured in French oak (25-30% new) from various coopers for 11 months. The wine is positively electric/alive with pinpoint precision and length. Mouthwatering, glorious, and will live for decades. Drink by 2047.
