2017 Marchand & Burch Chardonnay

Fruit was sourced from the Porongurup and Mount Barker districts for this wine. Brilliant pale straw colour with a slight glimmer of green around the outskirts and a watery hue. Intense ripe peach and dried honey aromas meld into hints of apricot, bacon fat, toasty oak, citrusy nougat and gun flint notes. Rich and textural with a creamy finish, the palate possesses mouthfilling flavours of nectarine, dried honey, cashew and toasty oak over some roasted almond and spice nuances. Good freshness with a long sophisticated aftertaste.
