2017 In Dreams Pinot Noir

Semi translucent dark red colour with black tinged edges and a light red hue. Fragrant dark cherry and ripe strawberry aromas laced with anise intermix with violets, gamey forest floor characters and spicy vanillin cedar. Supplely textured and possessing good richness, the light to mid weight palate dishes up a savoury flavour profile of spicy ripe dark cherries and strawberries intermixed with forest floor, subtle anise, dried herbs and lightly smoked cedar. Slightly dryish finish but velvety tannins. Excellent length with a long spicy dark cherry, dried herb, strawberry, forest floor and smoky cedar aftertaste.
Cellar 4-5 years.

It has zebras on the label, which I like very much.
Wheaty, spicy, a little smoky and firm in structure, brooding even. Red fruits, light chalky texture, bony but flavoursome, drives through the mouth, and finishes dry and long. Savoury style, and quite serious, yet fun to drink.
