2017 Atze's Corner The Giant Durif

Superb colour saturation featuring an inky black heart and an equally deep black dark red hue. Pronounced black and morello cherry aromas are joined by liquorice, black olive and spicy vanillin oak notes. Rich with an ink like density, the full bodied palate is engulfed with black and morello cherry fruit as well as liquorice. An underbelly of vanillin oak and spice forms beneath. Firmly built tannins and bright acidity give the wine a robust feel. Excellent power with a long ripe morello cherry, black cherry, liquorice and spicy vanillin oak aftertaste.
