2016 Mitchelton Toolleen Single Vineyard Heathcote Shiraz

Reputedly from the old Tatiarra vineyard. Impenetrable black as night colour with a very deep dark red black hue. Wafting from the glass are intense liquorice, ripe blackberry, black cherry and dark plum aromatics followed by vanillin cedar, light earth and spice. Rich, densely concentrated and structured the palate is saturated with opulent blackberry, liquorice and dark plum flavours which are underpinned by vanillin oak, subtle earthy dark chocolate nuances and spice. Ripe firm tannins provide the framework. Excellent power with a long sumptuous aftertaste.
