2016 Main Divide Pinot Noir

Matured for 18 months in French oak this a rich, fuller style of Pinot Noir. Very deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. Perfumed violet and anise scents wrap themselves around dark to black cherry and ripe strawberry fruit notes with some toasty oak and spicy dried herbs in tow. Ripe mouthfilling flavours of ripe black cherries, strawberry and anise have generous fruit weight overlaying a smoky oak, subtle dried herb and spicy earth background. Rich, concentrated and juicy with robust yet velvety tannins. Excellent power wave with a long black cherry, anise, toasty oak, earth and spicy dried herb aftertaste.
