Magnificent inky black colour with a very deep dark red black hue. Wafting out of the glass are intoxicating aromas of ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark chocolate followed by vanillin oak, traces of earth and mint. Rich dark plum, blackberry and liquorice fruits flood the mouth with a firm tannin structure lying underneath. Vanillin oak, earth and spicy mint characters are also evident. Slightly dryish finish with a long robust yet deeply fruited aftertaste.
Cellar 6-8 years.
Alc. 14%

Other Reviews….
This is no pushover in the company of The Armagh, and it's a whole lot easier to enjoy, even though the day for each is long off. Here the fruits are rounder, the tannins following suit - even touches of red/purple fruits here. Once again, a wine to be respected. And enjoyed. Drink by 2046.
