The Halos de Jupiter are a collaboration between the southern Rhône’s renowned oenologist Philippe Cambie, and the talented winemaker Michel Gassier. The 2016 is a blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah. The Grenache is aged in concrete vats and the Syrah is aged in older demi-muids for 12 months.

A rich, seductive beauty.

Outstanding depth of colour displaying an impenetrable inky black purple core with a deep bright dark purple hue. Heady aromatics of ripe black cherries and black raspberries fill the nostrils with liquorice, earthy incense notes and spicy pepper in hot pursuit. Full in body with a lavish texture the palate boasts incredible power and richness for a humble entry level Cotes du Rhone. Explosive ripe black cherry, black raspberry and liquorice flavours flood the mouth over a backdrop of earthy incense like infusions and spice. Ripe chewy tannins are well concealed by the opulent layers of black fruits. Long ripe black cherry, black raspberry, liquorice, earthy incense character and spice aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
