2016 Dowie Doole Estate Shiraz

Impenetrable black as night core with a deep bright dark red black hue. Pronounced liquorice and blackberry aromas intermix with some ripe black cherry notes. Confectionary, vanillin cedar and light spice ensue. Medium to full bodied the palate is awash with rich succulent blackberry, liquorice and ripe dark cherry flavours which sit over a back drop of spicy vanillin cedar and traces of black olive. Slightly dryish tannins firm up the finish. Good length with well balanced acidity and an aftertaste of black cherries, liquorice, blackberries, subtle black olives and spicy vanillin cedar.
