2015 The Story Wines Grampians Shiraz

Matured in old French barriques and puncheons for 12 months with 40% whole bunch fermentation. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Lifted dark plum and liquorice aromas are overlaid by some smoky dried clove like characters followed by vanillin cedar and spice. Medium bodied the palate features generous dark plum and liquorice flavours with a subtle dried clove undercurrent. Ensuing are vanillin cedar and spice characters. Slightly dryish velvet like tannins concluding with an aftertaste of spicy ripe dark plum, liquorice, subtle dried clove and earthy vanillin cedar.
