2015 Terre a Terre Rouge

A blend of 44% Shiraz, 36% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Cabernet Franc aged for 8 months in old barriques and 14 months in a 2 year old foudre. Totally opaque dark red black core with a deep dark red hue. Elevated blackberry and liquorice aromas intermesh with ripe blackcurrant over earthy toasty oak, black olive and spice. Medium to full bodied with ample richness and good concentration, generously textured flavours of ripe blackcurrant, blackberry and liquorice dominate over lightly smoked earthy cedar, faint black olive and spice. Slightly chewy but ripe tannins provide good structure. Concludes medium to long with a blackcurrant, blackberry, liquorice, smoky cedar, earth and spice aftertaste.
Cellar 5-6 years.
