Best’s Bin 0 Shiraz is produced from the four original Shiraz plantings in the low yielding blocks of the historic Concongella vineyard at Great Western. This includes nineteenth century and mid twentieth century plantings of Shiraz.

Excellent colour displaying an impenetrable black dark red core with a bright deep dark red hue. Perfumed aromatics of plum, ripe dark cherries and liquorice infused with violets blossom from the glass followed by complexing notes of faint dried cloves, dried meats, earth, vanillin cedar and spicy pepper to provide a compelling sniff. The palate is rich yet tremendously refined and graceful delivering sumptuous flavours of dark plum, liquorice and ripe dark cherries which overlay nuances of subtlety smoked vanillin cedar, some dried clove infusions, a touch of meatiness and spicy pepper. Exceptionally finely grained tannins are seamlessly interwoven with the spicy red fruits. Outstanding depth with a very long aftertaste of spicy dark plum, liquorice, dried clove, a subtle meatiness, smoky vanillin cedar and pepper. An outstanding rendition of this classic cool climate Shiraz.
Cellar 10-15 years.
Alc 14%
