The Malterdinger Pinot Noir is the village wine from Weingut Huber in Baden. Fruit comes from vines of up to 25 years of age, with deeper roots, 30 to 35% whole bunch. After harvesting the grapes with a crop round 55 hl per ha, the wine is matured for 12 months in 3 and 4 year old barriques.
Bright dark red colour with a light red hue. A mixture of sour to red cherry aromas infused with fresh herbs greets the nostrils trailed by a subtle earthy meatiness and spice. Light, bright and fresh the palate has breezy red cherry flavours which are underpinned by infusions of fresh herbs, sour cherries, faint earth and spice. Crunchy finish with fine grained tannins and a vibrant red fruited aftertaste.
Cellar 3-4 years.
Alc. 13%
