2014 Patrick Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

Aged in a combination of 60% American and 40% French oak barriques for 18 months. Midnight black core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Elevated blackcurrant and liquorice aromas laced with bay leaf flow from the glass. Hints of dark chocolate, vanillin cedar and spice follow. Medium to full bodied, rich blackcurrant flavours have generous textural qualities with liquorice, infusions of bay leaf, vanillin cedar, subtle tobacco and spicy earth characters sitting beneath. Fine grained tannins provide a sturdy underbelly. Good power concluding with a long blackcurrant, bay leaf, earthy tobacco, vanillin cedar and spice aftertaste.
