Other reviews….
It’s always a joy when a wine like this arrives on the tasting bench. 150 dozen made. 80% whole bunch.
It’s smoky. It’s herbal. It’s strewn with leaves and spices, like a wine windswept, like a savoury storm. It’s cherried at heart, of course, sour-cherried, almost cranberried, with streaks of bitterness and spots of stalk, all strung out, all pulling on the wine, all building tension, like points of drama, like it’s plotting to mesmerise you. It succeeded. I sat, at the desk, at work, enthralled. This is a wine.
