2013 Te Mata Estate Syrah

Opaque black purple colour with a bright purple hue. Youthful scents of dark raspberries and fresh plums emanate from the glass followed by some toasty oak, subtle meaty characters and spice. Very elegant the palate has delicate flavours of blackberry and dark cherries intermixed with some inky dried meat like characters over toasty cedar and spice. Dry finish with slightly chalky tannins. Aftertaste of spicy dark cherries, dried meats and toasty cedar.
