2013 Samuel Billaud Chablis
“I came back to the Chablis after the Grand Crus, and it more than held its own. This is a very pretty wine in its class.” Antonio Galloni - Vinous
Brilliant pale straw colour with a distinctive greenish tinge around the edges and a watery hue. The nose displays scented top notes of ripe pear and delicate white peach over a hint of wet stone, citrus and mineral. There’s a slight creaminess in the mouth with flavours of pear and white peach dominate over some mineral with a touch of wet stone making an appearance on the back palate. Clean dry finish with excellent textural feel. Medium to long aftertaste of white peaches, wet stones and mineral. A fuller style of Chablis with more up front fruit than you would normally expect.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
Alc 12.5%
