2013 Penbro Estate Shiraz

Opaque dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Nosing reveals aromas of liquorice intermixed with blackberries, toasty vanillin oak and blackpepper. Medium weight the palate is a bit lean on fruit, lacks depth and has a dryish finish. Subtle flavours of liquorice and blackberries are overlaid by toasty oak with a touch of pepper on the finish. Dryish, slightly chalky tannins. Short aftertaste of toasty oak, liquorice and pepper.
Cellar 3-4 years.
