Composed of 84% Shiraz and 16% Cabernet Sauvignon, fruit was sourced from vineyards located in the Ebenzer district with vines aged between 30 to 130 years old. Maturation took place in a combination of new French (92%) and new American (8%) hogsheads for a period of 16 months.

This blend opens with a dense super saturated midnight black dark purple colour and a very deep dark purple black hue. Perfumed aromas of ripe blackberries and liquorice intertwined with blackcurrant arise from the glass over background notes of dark chocolate, vanillin cedar and spice. Rich and very concentrated the palate is awash with mouthfilling flavours of ripe blackberries, liquorice, cassis and dark chocolate followed by vanillin cedar and spice. Opulent texture with the velvety tannins having an underlying solid structure. Exceptional power with a very long aftertaste of ripe blackberries, liquorice, cassis, vanillin confectionary and spice.
Cellar 6-8 years.
Alc 15.5%
