2013 Cloudy Bay Chardonnay

Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish highlights around the edges and a watery hue. The nose displays excellent intensity with ripe white peach and fig aromas overlaid by some honeycomb and cashew with subtle roasted almond and spice end notes. Medium to full bodied with good freshness and richness, the palate is generously flavoured with white peach, dried honey and cashew over a background of subtlety roasted almonds and spice. Good creamy mouthfeel, well counterpointed by some fresh acidity on the finish. Long aftertaste of ripe white peach, dried honey, cashew, delicate nougat and spice.
Cellar 4-5 years.
