2013 Claymore Wines London Calling Merlot

Opaque black dark red colour with a very dark red hue. Aromas of dark chocolate and dark plums are followed by some vanillin oak and subtle spice. Softly textured the palate is filled with dark chocolate and dark plum flavours which are overlaid by some vanillin oak with some spice on the finish. Velvet smooth tannins. Aftertaste of dark chocolate, vanillin oak and spice. The vanillin oak component is a little too prominent.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
