2012 Woodstock Collett Lane Cabernet Sauvignon

Fruit for this wine is sourced from vines planted in 1988 next to the Stocks vineyard. Totally opaque inky black dark purple colour with a deep very dark purple hue. Pronounced ripe blackcurrant aromas are intermixed with scents of cedary tobacco characters, black olives, a hint of liquorice and spice. Medium to full bodied the palate possesses rich blackcurrant and liquorice flavours over some vanillin cedar, faint black olive and spice. Firm structured, yet fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of ripe blackcurrant, liquorice, dark chocolate, vanillin cedar and spice.
Cellar 6-8 years.
