2012 Veronique Old Vine Grenache Shiraz Mataro

A blend of 34% Grenache, 33% Shiraz and 33% Mataro sourced from old vines dating back to 1903 located in the Greenock sub district. Opaque dark red black colour with a dark red hue. The nose reveals dark raspberry and blackberry top notes followed by some liquorice, dark chocolate, faint scorched earth and spice. Medium bodied with a supple and excellent richness the palate boasts mouthfilling flavours of liquorice, dark raspberries and joosy blackberries over some vanillin confectionary with a spicy finish. Velvet smooth tannins. Long dark raspberry, liquorice, subtle dark chocolate, vanillin confectionary and spice aftertaste. A delicious GSM that offers fantastic value.
