2011 Onannon Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir

Semi translucent bright crimson red colour with light watery crimson hue. The nose shows good intensity with ripe dark cherry and strawberry fruit aromas overlaid by some prominent smoky oak, anise and meatiness. Light weight and elegant with dark cherry and strawberry flavours followed by some toasty oak and spice. Very fine grained tannins with aftertaste of dark cherry, strawberry and spiced toasty oak. The toasty oak is a touch heavy handed and the wine lacks a degree of power.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
