2011 McWilliam's Mount Pleasant Philip Shiraz

Opaque dark red black colour with a dark crimson red hue. The nose is quite fragrant with scents of liquorice, plum and dark ripe cherries with some earth and spicy toasty cedar emerging. Medium bodied, relatively generous and savoury the palate features flavours of liquorice, dark chocolate and plums over lightly scorched earth and spice. Supple mouthfeel and velvety tannins with an aftertaste of liquorice, plum, earth, toasty cedar and spice. An attractive medium bodied style of Shiraz.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
