2011 Hay Shed Hill Cabernet Sauvignon

Matured for 18 months in French oak the wine opens with an opaque black purple colour and deep dark purple red hue. The nose displays freshly crushed berry scents of dark cherries and blackcurrants along with a touch of inkiness, cedar and spice. The palate is also quite youthful with inky dark cherry and blackcurrant flavours present overlaying some toasty cedar and spice. Dryish but fine grained tannins with moderate aftertaste of inky cedary blackcurrant and spice.
