2010 Stalking Horse Shiraz

Matured in 100% American oak for 12 months. Totally opaque inky black crimson colour with very deep black crimson hue. The nose exhibits lifted liquorice and confectionary top notes followed by some ripe blackberry, dark chocolate and vanillin spice scents. Full bodied the palate possesses generous flavours of blackberry and liquorice followed by some confectionary and spice with a slightly inky mouthfeel. Dryish and slightly chalky tannins with aftertaste of liquorice, some meaty blackpepper characters and spice.
Cellar 2-3 years (2014-2015).
Alc 14.2%
