Reilly's started from humble beginnings in 1993 when the first vintage was processed on the front porch of a historical cottage on the property. Over the years the winery has steadily grown, outstripping the capacity of the cottage. Production has now moved to a state-of-the-art facility in nearby Leasingham. Ryder is Reilly’s entry level brand that aims to deliver great value everyday drinking. Both the Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon are sourced from Reilly’s St. Clare vineyard located at Leasingham which was planted in 2000. Previously fruit from this vineyard had been sold to the likes of Tim Adams and Fosters.

A soft, opulent Clare Valley Shiraz that offers fantastic value.

Matured for a period of 15 months in a combination of French and American oak. Opaque black purple colour with deep dark purple hue. The nose is a little closed at first slowly revealing scents of blackberries, dark cherries and liquorice along with some toasty vanilla and a touch of spice. Full bodied the palate boasts a rich joosy flavour profile of ripe blackberry and liquorice followed by some vanillin oak characters and spice. Soft velvet smooth tannins. Good depth with long blackberry, liquorice, toasty vanilla and spice aftertaste. A soft, opulent Clare Valley Shiraz that offers fantastic value.
