Fantastic everyday drinking.

John Possingham & Carol Summers' vision of restoring a 70 year old Blewitt Springs vineyard to its former glory began in 1984. Since then, the Estate has grown to include a state of the art winery, allowing full control from harvest to bottling. Matured in older French oak barrels for a period of 18 months. Opaque black dark crimson red colour with very dark crimson red hue. Lifted liquorice, black cherry and black plum scents are to the fore followed by some subtle toasty cedar and spice. Rich and supplely textured the palate boasts mouthfilling flavours of aniseed and blackberry along with some toasty oak and spice. Velvet smooth tannins. Long aniseed, blackberry, toasty oak and spice aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years (2016-2017).
Alc 14.0%

Other Reviews....
From a 70-year-old vineyard restored to full health since it was acquired in '84, now joined by a new winery. Exceptional, clear, bright purple-crimson; the fruit flavours are wonderfully juicy and long, tannins and oak positive contributors, but respecting the primacy of the fruit. Drink by 2025.
