This property is clearly on the upswing although they still have a long way to go to compete with the top end, non-first growth Pauillacs (i.e., the two Pichons, Pontet Canet, Haut-Bages-Liberal, Grand Puy Lacoste and Grand Puy Ducasse). Nevertheless, the 2010 Croizet Bages reveals plenty of classic, sweet creme de cassis, camphor and underbrush characteristics. Medium-bodied with good purity and texture, it may turn out to be as good as the 2009 and 2005. The tannins suggest it has 10-15 years of aging potential.

A young wine, with a pretty core of ripe fruit and silky tannins. Full body, chewy, yet cashmere in texture. Lacks a tiny bit on the finish. But nicely done.
