2010 Battely Durif

Totally opaque black crimson colour with deep crimson purple hue. The nose displays morello cherry and liquorice aromas to the fore followed by some vanillin cedar, dark chocolate and spice. Full bodied the palate shows off decadent morello cherry and black plum flavours followed by some liquorice, vanillin cedar and spice. Dryish finish with firm assertive tannin structure. The wines outstanding fruit richness, concentration and power supported by the rigid tannin structure which will ensure a long cellaring life. Long aftertaste of black and morello cherry, black plum, cedar and spice.

The nose displays aromas of dark ripe cherries and dark plum followed by a touch of liquorice with some cedar and spice end notes. Big, rich, full bodied palate with a firm sturdy tannin structure. Mouthfilling flavours of Morello cherry, liquorice and black plum followed by some cedar and spice. Firm, dry, grippy tannins. Aftertaste of Morello cherry, liquorice and spicy cedar.
