2009 Vasse Felix Classic Dry Red Shiraz Cabernet

A classic Australian blend of Shiraz (83%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (14%) with a dash (2%) of Viognier also included. Maturation took place in a combination 1-4 year old French, American and Hungarian oak for 12 months. Opaque black purple colour with dark purple red hue. The nose displays aromas of blackberry, liquorice, vanillin confectionary and some blackpepper end notes. Medium to full bodied the palate delivers generous flavours of ripe blackberry, liquorice, dark plum and vanillin spice. Soft fine grained tannins. Long liquorice, blackberry and blackpepper aftertaste.
