The Tisdall “Henry’s Crossing” range is a tribute to Henry Hopwood, founder of Echuca in 1854 and his establishment of a punt (ferry) across the great Murray River at the point of where the town of Echuca now lies. Grapes have been sourced from Tisdall’s Rosbercon Vineyard, a single vineyard site that has some of the oldest plantings of Cabernet Sauvignon in the region.
Opaque very deep dark red black colour with deep dark red hue. Aromas of ripe mulberry, dark plum, spicy cedar and a hint of tobacco. Medium to full bodied the palate displays generous flavours of ripe mulberry, dark plum, cedar and spice. Almost fleshy like in texture. Soft very fine grained tannins with aftertaste of ripe mulberry, cedar and spice.
Drink over the next 2-3 years (2011-2014).
Alc 14.0%
