2009 Lindemans Pyrus Cabernet Sauvignon Malbec Merlot

This Bordeaux styled blend was matured for 17 months in predominately new French oak along with a portion in seasoned French oak. Opaque black crimson red colour with dark crimson red hue. The nose displays top notes of mulberry and blackcurrant followed by some cedar and spice along with a faint hint of tobacco leaf. Medium weight and elegant but possessing plenty of ripe fruit the palate delivers a flavour profile of blackcurrant and ripe mulberry followed by some underlying spicy cedar and a hint of tobacco. Fine grained, slightly dryish but perfectly balanced tannin structure. Good depth with long aftertaste of blackcurrant, mulberry, dusty cedar and spice.
Cellar 5-6 years (2016-2017).
