2009 Hurley Vineyard Hommage Pinot Noir

Matured in French oak casks of which one third were new for a period of 18 months and then bottled without fining or filtration. Semi translucent crimson red colour with light crimson hue. The nose displays good perfumed lift with scents of dark cherries, some meaty characters, cedar, a hint of anise and some spice end notes. Light to medium weight but with a strong power wave the palate possesses flavours of dark cherries, strawberries and some meaty characters followed by some spicy cedar on the back palate. Very fine grained tannins. Long dark cherry, dried meat and spicy cedar aftertaste.
Cellar 3-4 years.
